The website

Tasks, notes, sessions, settings, and the in-progress timer stay in this browser under focusdoro:v1. Tasks and history are not uploaded.

The website counts visits with Google Analytics. Google receives the page path and the site that referred the visit, plus basic interaction such as scrolls and outbound clicks. It does not receive tasks, focus history, timer contents, or the query string on the page address. When a focus block starts, it also counts that start and where it began: the homepage, the timer, or a link. That count does not include the task, the note, or the length. There is no session recording.

On this device

There is no Pomororo sign-in. Tasks, resume notes, page URLs, per-work block lists, and finished sessions stay in this browser. They are not uploaded.

Copying or downloading Today as a day note does not upload it or send it to Todoist. You choose where to paste or save it.

The Chrome extension

The companion has no account and does not include analytics. Timer state, the optional task title, and Focus Guard domains stay in Chrome's local extension storage on your device. Choosing Focus this page also keeps that page's title and URL in the local Pomororo record to start focus. It is not sent to Todoist by page capture.

A content script runs only on pomororo.com so an open Pomororo tab and the toolbar timer can share the same focus block. It reads and writes that same local timer record. It does not run on other sites.

Focus Guard is off until you turn it on. Chrome asks for site access so the companion can block the domains you add while a focus block is running or paused. The list starts empty. The extension does not read page content or browsing history.

Completion notifications are created by Chrome on your device. They are not sent to Pomororo.

Optional Todoist connection

If you connect Todoist, you grant read-only access to your tasks and projects. Pomororo's server retrieves them from Todoist when you open or refresh the task picker. Selected tasks and project names and your Todoist account identifier are saved with your local focus data. Optional next-step notes stay in this browser. If you enable summary sharing, Todoist asks for read and write access. Only when you choose to share does Pomororo send the displayed focus totals and note to a comment on that task, visible to anyone with access to it. Later shares update that browser's summary comment. Task completion, titles, and dates are not changed.

The connection uses an encrypted, HTTP-only cookie on this browser for up to 30 days and a short-lived cookie during sign-in. These cookies are used only for the connection, not tracking. Credentials are processed by Pomororo's server and are not included in data exports. Disconnecting removes the connection cookies; imported tasks and history remain until you clear local data. You can revoke Pomororo's access in Todoist's integration settings.

Selling and sharing

Your tasks, notes, and focus history live in your browser. Pomororo keeps no copy of them on its servers.

Pomororo does not sell user data, and does not share it with third parties without your consent. This covers everything Pomororo handles, including data from services you choose to connect, such as Todoist.

Two services help run the website. Cloudflare hosts Pomororo and its server. Google Analytics receives only the visit counts described in “The website” above, never your tasks, notes, focus history, or data from connected services.
